LinguaPoint is one of Germany’s established language services vendors. Based in Munich, and with branch offices in Augsburg and in Spiegelau, LinguaPoint has successfully established itself as a vendor in the IT translation sector, specializing in localization.

Founded in 1996 by Heike Borchardt, Petra Dalmus and Carin Sellmayer (née Ehrenthaler), the three founding partners, LinguaPoint grew out of a common dream.

Roots and history

After the closure of the localization department of Stream International, Heike, Petra and Carin, all of whom had previously worked there as senior project managers, decided to set up their own agency. Passionate about the idea of being able to continue their previous work in their own name, almost seamlessly, and with their own wide-ranging experience as their starting capital, the new company was an immediate success.

By virtue of excellent qualifications and personal commitment, LinguaPoint soon became an international business presence, growing continuously and organically by serving a growing number of clients from various countries.
